At the time of going to press this morning the official election returns had not been given out. It was known, however, that Hughes carried New York State by 40,000 plurality. Governor Guild of Massachusetts was re-elected with a 35,000 plurality. Moran carried Boston by 13,000 plurality. The Congressional elections showed a gain for the Democrats.
