The first pop-night of the year, held in the Living Room of the Union last evening, was a decided success. The attendance was so large that not only the Living Room, but the adjacent hallways were occupied. The Pierian Sodality orchestra played the old and new football songs, and light refreshments were served throughout the evening.
The election returns, which began to come in about 7.30 o'clock and were announced until 11.45 o'clock, were followed with great interest. The enthusiasm indicated a marked preference for Mr. Guild '81 and Mr. Hughes. The crowd began to collect at 8 o'clock and did not leave until about 11.30.
