J. F. Moors in Brooks House at 7.15

The second of a series of lectures on "Social Problems of the Modern City" will be delivered this evening by J. F. Moors '83 in the parlor of Phillips Brooks House at 7.15 o'clock. The subject will be "Relief of San Francisco Seen by a Volunteer". Mr. Moors, who was a member of the committee sent from Boston to administer the aid forwarded by Boston and other cities to San Francisco, will describe the condition of the city after the earthquake and fire, and the work of relief. The lecture will be open to all members of the University.

Remaining Lectures of the Series.

Four of the remaining lectures have been arranged, and will be given once a week at the same place and hour on the following subjects:

November 9 -- Dr. D. C. Rogers '02 of the Department of Ethics, on "Punishment and Education: Two Contrasted Methods of Reform".

November 19 -- Mr. Adams, superintendent of the Lincoln House, Boston, on "Boys Club Work in Boston".

November 26 -- Dr. J. F. Brackett, of the Department of Ethics, on "The Influence of Social Service on a City's Problems".

December 3 -- Mr. H. R. Bates, on "The Attitude of the Poor towards the Rich".
