Yale and Princeton Tied, 0 to 0

The Yale and Princeton football teams played a tie game on Saturday, neither team being able to score, although Yale outplayed its opponent at almost every point of the game. The inability to score by means of field goals when four opportunities were offered, and penalties for holding received at the critical points of the game, robbed Yale of an earned victory. Princeton, likewise, suffered from penalties; many intricate plays were carried out successfully only to have the ball called back for infringement of the rules. In the first half Yale had two good chances to score a goal from the field, but neither Veeder or Biglow were successful.

In the second period of play Yale kept Princeton always on the defensive, carrying the ball almost four times as many yards as did Princeton. Again in this half Yale had two chances to score from the field but both kicks failed. Towards the end of the half Yale started from the middle of the field, and rushed the ball with steady gains to Princeton's 10-yard line, when time was called.
