Swimming Association Changes

At the annual meeting of the Intercollegiate Swimming Association several changes were made in the method of deciding the intercollegiate championship. Instead of holding the water polo and swimming contests at separate times, all the swimming contests being held on one night, there will be a series of dual meets consisting of a combination of contests. Every team will have a dual meet with every other team in the Association, and the one winning the greatest number of meets will get the championship. At each meet there will be a water polo game, a plunging, and a fancy diving contest, and the following races: 800-yards relay race; 50-yards, 100-yards, and 220-yards swims. Each contest will count a certain number of points in determining the winner of the meet. The schedule of the association has not yet been arranged, but all the meets will take place between the middle of January and Easter.

The following officers have been elected for this year: president, F. Naething, Yale; vice-president, E. Hopkinson, Jr., Pennsylvania; secretary, E. Dana '08. The association includes Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Pennsylvania, Columbia and Brown.
