GRADED CREW RACES TODAY

Downstream from Longwood Bridge to Union Boat Club at 3.30 o'clock.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Owing to the unfavorable weather yesterday, the race between the third Newell and the third Weld crews was postponed until this afternoon. At 3.30 o'clock these crews will race downstream over the one and seven-eighths mile course from the Longwood bridge to the Union Boat Club. Immediately after this race, the first and second Weld and Newell crews will race downstream over the same course. The captains of all the crews will report at 2.45 o'clock at the Newell Boat Club to draw for positions. All the crews will be on the river at 3 o'clock.

Review of the Work.

Under the direction of Coaches Vail and Stephenson, six graded crews, three from each boathouse, have been on the river daily since the inter-dormitory bumping races. In spite of unseasonable rowing weather, the men have worked hard and the attendance has been very regular. Both the first crews are very strong eights and have developed rapidly during the last ten days. The coaches have watched the individual men, and after the race today eight men, picked from all the crews, will be asked to join the University crew squad in the spring.

The members of the winning crew of the second race will be awarded their club insignia.
