The University cross-country team will race the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this afternoon at 1.45 o'clock. The race will be held over the Technology course, from the Highland Club in West Roxbury to the Technology grounds in Brookline Village, a distance of about five miles. The University team is composed of the following: M. S. Crosby '08, R. W. Fisher '08, H. F. Hadden '09, C. N. Hedin '08, W. G. Howard '07, H. W. King '08, W. Minot '07, R. P. Tenney '09, R. W. Whidden '09, and P. Woodman '08.

In scoring, only the first five men of each team will be counted. Each place will count according to its numerical value and the team having the least total will win.

Last year Harvard defeated Technology by the score of 35 to 49. The time was 24m. 50s., which is the record for the course. The following men from last year's team will run today: M. S. Crosby '08, R. W. Fisher '08, and H. W. King '08.

The consolation cross-country race, which was to have been held yesterday, has been postponed to Monday at 4 o'clock, on account of the poor weather conditions yesterday.
