More than 200 candidates for the dormitory crews reported last night at the various dormitories. For the present 17 crews will be formed, which will row from the boat clubs as follows:

From Newell Boat Club--Russell; Claverly; Matthews; Thayer; Perkins, Walter Hastings, Conant and Oxford Street; Beck, Hampden and Fairfax; Mt. Auburn Street; Dunster and Dana Chambers; Waverly; Craigie; other candidates not reporting on dormitory crews.

From Weld Boat Club--Westmorly; Randolph; Grays; Holyoke Street; Weld; Stoughton and Holworthy.

All candidates must report today at 4 o'clock at their respective boat clubs in order to elect captains. Active work will begin tomorrow. Coach Rice will have charge of Weld, and Coach Stephenson of Newell Boat Club. If sufficient candidates report more crews will be organized. Races will be held later in the fall, and cups will be awarded to the winning crew.

The University crew squad has been divided into two crews, which alternate rowing in eights and in single shells. Fahnestock was yesterday tried in Filley's crew in place of Flint.
