NEW HAVEN, CONN., October 3. - Yale defeated Wesleyan on Yale Field this afternoon by a score of 21 to 0, after rolling up 15 points in the first period of play. Two goals were made from the 30-yard line on fair catches by Knox. Against the Yale line Wesleyan was able to gain but two first downs in succession, and was forced to rely entirely on punting. Jones made the most spectacular play of the game by running the ball back 60 yards from the kick-off. Yale's backs were fast and clever, but against so small a team the line was unusually weak.
One injury resulted from the game, Burch, right end, breaking his collarbone in the scrimmage.
