New President for Technology
The executive committee of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology yesterday announced the fact that Dr. Andrew Fleming West of Princeton has been formally invited to the presidency of the Institute as the successor of Dr. Pritchett. Dr. West has been since 1883 professor of Latin at Princeton and since 1901 dean of the Graduate School of that University. This appointment is subject to the confirmation of the entire Corporation of the Institute.
