Two trial eights were on the river yesterday, and were coached from the "John Harvard" by Captain Bacon, and by Coach Wray, who has just returned from England. Both crews rowed up-stream to the Brighton bridge. Nearly all of the dormitory crews were also on the water. Coach Vail followed the Dunster and Hampden-Beck-Fairfax crews in the "Veritas." Both showed improved strength, but their form is still ragged. The Westmorly crew is at present making the best showing.
