NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The sixteenth annual course of lectures in the Prospect Union will open to-night. There will be about thirty courses of instruction, lasting until the middle of April, some coming one night a week and others two. Classes will be started in any subject for which five men apply.

The courses include business subjects, mathematics, language, history, economics, English, music, natural sciences, elocution and commercial law. Technical subjects, like stenography, will be given by paid teachers, but the other courses will be conducted by volunteers from the University. One of the features is the preparation for the civil service examinations for the post office and custom house.

Beginning the middle of November there will be Sunday afternoon lectures, which will continue for three months. There will also be informal smoke talks on Saturday evenings, as well as other forms of entertainment.
