Unsatisfactory Basketball Practice

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a poor practice in the Gymnasium last evening, the University basketball team defeated the second team by the score of 31 to 3. Although the University team had no difficulty in scoring on the second team, the play was listless and the players showed a tendency to disregard many minor rules which would result in penalties in a regular game.

As a number of games will be played during the mid-year period, practice will be held every evening in the Gymnasium. The next game will be with Tufts, on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Gymnasium.

The line-up in the practice was as follows: UNIVERSITY TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Quigley, l.f.  r.f., Moore, Broun, Almy Broun, Brooks, r.f.  l.f., Brooks, Rand Amberg, c.  c., Miles, Clarke, Lupien Burnham, l.g.  r.g., Appel, Vance Griffiths, r.g.  l.g., Goode, Holmes

Score--University team, 31; Second team, 3. Goals from floor--Griffiths 5, Amberg 4, Quigley 3, Brooks 2, Burnham, Broun. Goals from fouls--Griffiths, Moore.
