Fall baseball practice will commence on Soldiers Field Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. This practice is intended not only to give the coaches an opportunity of forming a preliminary estimate of the new material, thus making possible a quicker reduction of the baseball squad in the spring, but also to give the new men coaching in the essentials of the game.
After the first few days of practice the men will be divided into two squads, each of which will report only three afternoons a week. In order to make the work as interesting as possible teams will be formed at once and a regular schedule of daily games will be arranged. As usual, cups will be given to the team winning the series.
The practice, which will be under the the personal supervision of Captain Stephenson and P. N. Coburn 3L., the head coach of next season's baseball team, will be continued as long as the weather remains sufficiently warm.
