Chess Club Elections and Plans

The Chess Club has elected the following officers for next year: president, Q. A. Brackett '06; vice-president, S. W. Howland 1L.; secretary, G. T. McClure '06; fourth and fifth members of the executive committee, P. W. Bridgman 1G., L. P. Carr 4L.

As a majority of the members of this year's championship team will be available next year the prospects for a strong team next winter are very bright. The club will hold its annual dual match with Yale in Cambridge on November 24, the day preceding the football game with Yale. A tournament to select the members of the University team will be held early next autumn. The club will also enter the annual intercollegiate tournament held in New York during the Christmas recess, and will be represented in the Metropolitan Chess League of Boston.
