Three shifts were made yesterday in the order of the University crew. Meler, who was absent from Cambridge on Thursday, took Burchard's place at seven, the latter moving to bow. Flint, who has been rowing at bow since the Cornell race last Saturday, returned to his former position at three in place of George. In the four-oar, Corlett, at three, and Gill, at bow, changed places. Kellogg was tried at two instead of Pleasonton.
The Freshman second crew was disbanded last Thursday and two provisional four-oars have been formed. The final order of the four-oar which will be taken to New London will probably not be picked this week. The two crews were stroked by Ball and Onativia. No changes have been made in the Freshman eight.
The orders yesterday:
University crew--Stroke, Filley; 7, Meier; 6, Bacon; 5, Lawson; 4, Newhall; 3, Flint; 2, Farley; bow, Burchard; cox., Chase.
University four-oar--Stroke, Shepard; 3, Gill; 2, Kellogg; bow, Corlett; cox., Montgomery.
First Freshman four-oar--Stroke, Ball; 3, Henry; 2, Bacon; bow, Comstock; cox., Whitney.
Second Freshman four-oar--Stroke, Onativia; 3, Mason; 2, Boyer; bow, Harding; cox., Whitney.
