Phi Beta Kappa Day June 29

Phi Beta Kappa day occurs this year, as usual, on the day after Commencement, Thursday, June 29. On this day the members of the Harvard chapter their annual reunion. A business meeting, open only to members of the Society, will be held at 10 o'clock in Harvard Hall, after which the procession will go to Sanders Theatre, where the literary exercises will be held at 12 o'clock. President J. B. Angell, late of the University of Michigan, will deliver the oration, Professor F. B. Gummere '75, of the English department of Haverford College, will be the poet, and Hon. J. D. Long '57, as president of the Society, will preside. Rev. S. McC. Crothers h.'99, will act as chaplain. After the exercises, which will be open to the public, the procession will again form and proceed to the Union. Here the annual dinner will be held, followed by informal speeches.
