Bad Weather Interferes with Crews

Red Top, June 19, 1905.--The weather here has been cold and wet all day. This morning the University eight took only an easy row, and this afternoon rowed a short distance on time, covering the the third half-mile in 2 minutes and 28 seconds. A low stroke was maintained at first, but near the finish it was raised to 38. The men swung well together and handled their oars well when the stroke was raised.

This morning the University four-oar had a brush with the Freshman crew. The four-oar rowed very well, with Corlett at stroke on the starboard side and Farley at bow. Shepard was tried in Gill's place at number three in the University four-oar this afternoon and pulled smoothly throughout a long row up the river and back.

In the Freshman boat Parke was given a trial at number three today and Fahnestock was moved to three in the Freshman four-oar. No material change was noticeable in the work of either crew.
