Dives Elected Track Captain

E. J. Dives '06 was yesterday unanimously elected captain of the University track team for next year.

Dives prepared at the Reading Pennsylvania High School, where he ran on the track team and played on the football and baseball teams. During the last three years he has done consistently good work on the University track team. In his Freshman year he won third place in the 440-yard run in the dual meet with Yale and last year was second in the dual meet and third in the intercollegiate meet in this event. He was on the relay team which holds the record for the indoor distance of 1560 yards established in the race with Pennsylvania at the B. A. A. meet in February. Last July he won the quarter-mile in the international meet in London. This year he won this event in the dual meet and was second in the intercollegiate games.
