Williamstown, Mass., May 31, 1905.--The University second nine lost this afternoon to the Williams second team, by the score of 5 to 4. Inability to hit at critical times was responsible for the second nine's defeat.

This afternoon the second nine will play the strong Williston Academy team at Easthampton in its last game of the season. Owing to the recent defeats of the second nine the chances favor Williston. The second nine batting order follows: 2b., Burns; 1b., Sperry; l.f. Giles; s.s., Mitchell; r.f. Nesmith, Adams; c.f., Colby; 3b., Page, Wickersham; c., Sullivan; p., Taylor.
