Arrangements for Commencement Day

Owing to the expected presence of President Roosevelt '80 at the University on Commencement Day, and to the necessity of admitting as many people as possible to the afternoon gathering in Memorial Hall, the annual dinner of the alumni will not be held this year. In its place a luncheon of sandwiches, coffee and cigars will be served in the Union. About 1600 seats will be placed in Memorial Hall in auditorium fashion, facing the high table of the President of the Alumni Association and the invited guests.

Tickets of admission to Memorial Hall, with luncheon coupons attached, will be on sale at Grays Hall from 9.30 A. M. to 2 P. M., at 50 cents each. They will be reserved for members of the classes of 1855 and of previous years, and for members of the class of 1880, until 1 o'clock. After that time they will be allotted to the other classes, a certain number being reserved for each group of ten consecutive classes.

The Alumni Association has made arrangements with the railway passenger associations by which all Harvard men and their families attending the Class Day and Commencement exercises from points from which the single-trip fare to Boston exceeds 75 cents, may obtain transportation to and from Boston for one and one-third the usual fare one way, plus a fee of 25 cents.
