The dedication of the memorial tablet to Bishop Phillips Brooks '55 will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the chapel of the Virginia Theological Seminary at Alexandria. Dr. F. W. Tomkins '72 will make the presentation speech and Dr. C. E. Grammer of Richmond, Virginia, will receive the tablet in behalf of the Virginia Theological Seminary. The Rt. Rev. A. M. Randolph, bishop of Southern Virginia, and the Rt. Rev. R. A. Gibson, bishop of Virginia, will assist in the ceremony. President Roosevelt has been invited to attend as the guest of the Seminary.

The idea of a memorial tablet was proposed by W. S. Hertzog '05 at the national convention of the Church Student Societies, held last December at Alexandria. His suggestion was endorsed by the Rt. Rev. L. H. Roots '91, bishop of Hankow, China, and by other Harvard graduates who were present. The following committee in charge was formed: Professor F. C. de Sumichrast, chairman, W. S. Hertzog '05, P. E. Wye '06, R. W. Skinner, Jr., '06, and R. H. Purnell '07. This committee received within a month from undergraduates and graduates subscriptions sufficient to purchase the tablet.

A 32-page memorial pamphlet, bound in crimson and gold, has been issued to commemorate the occasion. It contains a life of Phillips Brooks written by Dr. G. A. Strong, his classmate at the Virginia Theological Seminary, the speech made by W. S. Hertzog '05 in suggesting the memorial, and the list of subscribers. It is illustrated with half-tones of Phillips Brooks, of the tablet, and of the faculty of the Virginia Theological Seminary.

The following men, representing the University, left Saturday for Alexandria: Dr. F. W. Tomkins '72, Professor F. C. de Sumichrast, W. S. Hertzog '05, and P. E. Wye '06.
