Freshman Play Pomfret Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman baseball team will play Pomfret School this afternoon at Pomfret. Since their defeat by St. Mark's School two weeks ago, the Freshmen have been improving steadily in batting fielding and base running although their throwing is still poor. Last Saturday they played a very creditable game against Andover, but were defeated by a score of 2 to 1.

The Pomfret team this year is weak although it has a good pitcher. Last Saturday, Pomfret was defeated by Groton 7 to 5, in a one-sided game. The Freshman should have no difficulty in winning this afternoon.

The batting order: HARWARD 1908.  POWFRET. Lovering, c.  2b., Beardsley Fischel, c.f.  r.f., Bartow Pritchett, s.s.  l.f., Shippen Ware, l.f.  1b., Moss Thomas, 3b.  c., Bingham Waters, 1b.  s.s., Townsend Smith, 2b.  c.f., A. Gilbert McNeil, Pounds, r.f.  3b., Olney Lincoin, p.  p., M. Gilbert
