1908 Baseball vs. Cambridge Latin

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman baseball team will play the second game of its schedule with the Cambridge Latin School this afternoon at 3 o'clock, on the Freshman diamond, Soldiers Field.

Since the game with the Noble and Greenough School on Wednesday the work of the squad has shown considerable improvement, but the pitchers still lack control and the catchers do not hold the ball well. The fielding, however, is fairly accurate.

The Cambridge Latin School team, which defeated the Freshmen last year by a score of 18 to 13, is relatively as strong this year, and as the team has won from Noble's by a score of 16 to 7 the chances of winning this afternoon are in its favor.

The batting order: HARVARD 1908.  CAMBRIDGE LATIN. Ware, l.f.  l.f., McCarty Pritchett, 2b.  1b., Currie Fischel, 3b.  s.s., Keaney Waters, 1b.  3b., Paine Thomas, McNeil, s.s.  r.f., Boyer Bennett, c.f.  2b., Stiles Kurtz, Pounds, r.f.  c.f., Chase Carlisle, Lovering, c.  c., Delaney Lincoln, Stephenson, p.  p., Nash
