In former years tickets for the Yale debate have been sold at various places in Cambridge and Boston, and members of the University have had no preference over the general public in securing seats. This year the University Debating Council has decided to adopt the system which has been tried with marked success at Yale and Princeton.
Certificates entitling the bearer to a seat will be sold to members of the University by men who will canvass the dormitories between now and Friday. Holders of these certificates may have their choice of seats by exchanging the certificates at Thurston's on or before Friday, after which date the sale of seats will be open to the public. All tickets will be 50 cents.
After the debate on May 5, a dinner to the members of both teams will be given in the Union. Informal speeches will be made by Professor G. P. Baker, members of the team, and others. All members of the University interested in debating may attend this dinner. The tickets will probably be $1.
