The track squad, which now numbers about 150 men, has had light work during the past week. The sprinters, quarter-milers, hurdlers, and broad jumpers, have taken short runs and practiced starting on the board track behind the Gymnasium, the half-milers have run slowly for a short distance, and the long distance squad has held runs of about two miles. The pole-vaulters and high-jumpers have practiced twice a week in the Gymnasium, and the shot-putters every day. The work of all the squads will continue to be light until J. G. Lathrop arrives in Cambridge on Tuesday. March 28, when hard training will begin.
