The University basketball team defeated the second team in practice in the Gymnasium last evening by the score of 26 to 5. Owing to injuries, three of the first team players, Murray, Snyder and Griffiths, were not in the line-up but will probably be in condition for the Yale game next Saturday evening. The play last night was fast and accurate in spite of the large number of substitutes in the line-up. Henderson and Underwood worked well together on the offense but were a little slow in shooting for baskets after receiving a pass. The guards covered well on defense but were inclined to take too great chances in shooting for baskets.

Tickets for the Yale game next Saturday evening are now on sale at Leavitt & Peirce's and Brine's. Reserved seats on the running track are one dollar; admission to the floor is 50 cents. Before the University game the Freshman team will play the Brown freshmen.

The line-up last night was as follows: UNIVERSITY TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Henderson, l.f.  r.f., Hall Underwood, r.f.  l.f., Howard, Hempher Jones, c.  c., Moore, Niles Burnham, l.g.  r.g., Proctor Gallagher, r.g.  l.g., Lewis
