While the Thames river was frozen over at New London, the courses for the boat races between Harvard and Yale next June were surveyed on the ice. Points have been marked for planting the signals when the crews go into training. Heretofore the measurements of the courses have been made late in the spring, from the banks of the river.

The swimming meet with Brown, scheduled for Saturday night, was cancelled.
