Rev. W. J. Dawson, of London, England, will deliver an address on "The Inescapable Christ" tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Parlor of Phillips Brooks House, under the auspices of the Christian Association.
Mr. Dawson was born in Towcester, England, and received his education at Manchester College. In 1891 he visited America and lectured in several cities on literary and historical subjects. At present he is pastor of the Highbury. Quadrant Congregational Church, London and is preaching in this country at the invitation of the Congregational Churches. His reputation as a brilliant speaker has been confirmed this week by his sermons at the Park Street Church, Boston.
Among his published works are: "Essays on Life and Literature," "Poems and Lyrics," "The Quest of the Simple Life," and "Savonarola, a Drama."
The address will be open to members of the University.
