AUBURN, N. Y., February 22. The Harvard basketball team was defeated by Cornell here tonight by the score of 22 to 18. Both teams were strong on the defense, but the Cornell forwards proved more accurate in shooting easy baskets.

The line-up was as follows: HARVARD.  CORNELL. Henderson, l.f.  r.f., Mantel Murray, r.f.  l.f., Dickerman Snyder, c.  c., Root Burnham, l.g.  r.g., Brinkerhoff Grifliths, r.g.  l.g., Reitzer

This evening the University team will play the Washington Continentals at Scheneclady, N. Y. This is one of the strongest amateur teams in the country, having met with success in the national games at St. Louis.

The line-up will be as follows: HARVARD WASHINGTON CONTINENTALS. Henderson, l.f.  r.f., Lamb Murray, r.f.  l.f., Tilden Snyder, c.  c., Lennon Burnham, l.g.  r.g., Christian Griffiths, r.g.  l.g., Tilden
