The Brown basketball team defeated the University team on Saturday evening by the score of 12 to 10 in a close game. In the first half the game was rather slow, but in the second half the play was fast and the result was in doubt until the end of the game. The Brown team was especially strong in defensive play, but was weak at throwing goals at critical times in the game. The passing of the University team was quick and accurate, but it was unable to break through its opponents' strong defense.
