practice for the University and class hockey squads will been begin on some near by pond as soon as the ice becomes strong enough. In order that candidates may be informed when this first practice will occur a bulletin will be posted daily at Leavitt and Peirce's. As soon as the ice is in good condition in the rinks in the Stadium practice will be transferred to these rinks.

The prospects for a strong team this year are good, as seven University players, Newhall, Grant, Townsend, Wilder, Pell, MacLeod, and Ivy are back in College, and there is much good material available from last year's second and Freshman teams. As previously announced, A. Winsor '02 will coach the University team.

Class teams will be formed in two or three weeks, the time depending largely upon the weather. Class captains will be elected and the usual interclass series arranged. Soon after the completion of the interclass series a scrub series will be instituted.
