Phi Beta Kappa Regulations

Elections to the Phi Beta Kappa Society will be held on Tuesday night. Candidates for the society are admitted under the following conditions:

1. Scholarship and good character shall be the basis of election.

2. The immediate members of the Senior class shall choose eight members from the Junior class, and enough men from their own class to increase the whole number from their class to 25.

3. Eight Juniors will be chosen by ballot from a list of 12 men, who have the highest standing in their class which list will be procured from the College authorities.

4. In electing members from their own class the immediate members shall choose by bailot from a list of 25 of highest rank (not already members of the society) who are to be candidates for the degree of A. B. at the ensuing commencement, and who have completed at least two years' work in Harvard College.

5. A three-fourths vote of all the immediate members shall be required for election into the fraternity.
