First Hockey Practice in Stadium

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday afternoon, for the first time this year, hockey practice was held on one of the rinks in the Stadium. The ice was in excellent condition, and considering that it was only the third outdoor practice, the play was very fast. A 35-minute game resulted in a score of 9 to 3 in favor of the first team. Although the forwards failed to take advantage of the sides, they carried the puck down the ice remarkably well. The shooting, however, was wild at critical moments, resulting in the loss of many chances to score. Dr. F. J. Goodridge '98 assisted in the coaching. Both of the Stadium rinks will be in condition for use in the practice today, which will begin at 3 o'clock.

The teams lined up yesterday as follows: FIRST TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Pell, l.e.  r.e., A. Fraser-Campbell Townsend, l.c.  r.c., Edgell McLeod, r.c.  l.c., Irving, Paine Mackay, Niles, r.e.  l.e., Cowdin, Dougherty Newhall, Briggs, c.p.  c.p., Sampson, S. Wagstaff Willets, p.  p., Bartels, Rivinius Francis, g.  g., McCreery, Prescott
