Hockey Practice on Artificial Pond

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Six teams were formed in the second outdoor hockey practice of the year held on Artificial Pond yesterday afternoon. The practice consisted in preliminary goal shooting by the forwards, followed by a 35-minute line-up in which the first team defeated the second by the score of 3 to 2. The second goal scored by the first team was won after three clever passes, but the other two goals were the direct results of scrimmages. All the men showed a tendency to play an individual games, this fault being especially noticeable in the Freshmen, who although fast skaters, are inexperienced in stick work.

The first and second teams lined up as follows: FIRST TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Pell, l.e.  r.e., Niles Townsend, l.c.  r.c., Edgell McLeod, r.c.  l.c., Cowdin, Leonard A. Fraser-Campbell, Paine, r.e.  l.e., G. Wagstaff, Cowdin S. Wagstaff, Newhall, c.p.  c.p., Chalifoux Willets, p.  p., Bartels Francis, g.  g., Warren

The game with Andover, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, has been postponed until next Tuesday or Wednesday. If possible, practice will be held this afternoon on the rinks in the Stadium.
