Telegram to Rules Committee

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The following telegram was sent yesterday by Coach W. T. Reid, Jr., '01 to the National Football Rules, Committee now in session in New York:

"The Harvard Committee cannot, between now and Monday, put in definite form its proposals for changes in football rules, and therefore requests that the meeting of the Rules Committee be postponed for two weeks, in order to give a reasonable amount of time to formulate opinions."

Three meetings have already been held by the Harvard Committee, but as there are innumerable suggestions to be carefully considered, definite proposals can only be decided upon slowly. Something has been accomplished at each of the meetings already held, but these first decisions are liable to be materially influenced by subsequent conclusions.
