Prizes for Esperanto from Dr. Ostwald

At the third meeting of the Esperanto Club, held yesterday afternoon, the announcement was made of a gift of $100 from Professor F.W. Ostwald for the general purposes of the Club. Dr. Ostwald has in addition offered two prizes, one for the best speech, the other for the best composition in Esperanto.

H.R. Shipherd '08 was elected corresponding secretary, and A.B. Kuttner '08 secretary-treasurer. The above, with Dr. H.W. Morse, president of the Club, were appointed a committee empowered to transact all business. The next meeting will be held early in January.
