Recent Gift to Classical Department

The Classical Department has recently acquired a collection of Greek and Roman antiquities from Dr. George J. Pfeiffer of Watertown. These antiquities include samples of building materials, marbles, vases, Roman lead pipes, terra cottas, and other objects. The collection is being arranged in Sever and will be opened at a meeting of the Classical Conference in December. Dr. G. H. Chase, who has been appointed curator of classical antiquities by the Corporation, will have charge of this collection.
