Petition for Living Room in Perkins

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Men living in Perkins have petitioned the Corporation to be allowed to convert two of the present bedrooms in the south entry into a living room, which they will furnish and use for a smoking and reading room.

This petition is important since such a living room will be the first of its kind in any dormitory, except in those on Mt. Auburn street. The plan has already been approved by President Eliot, but it is still subject to the final approval of the Corporation, which will undoubtedly be granted. It is though that it will lead to similar petitions for living rooms in other buildings.
