Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The University cross country team defeated the Institute of Technology team on Saturday, in a run from the Highland Station, in West Roxbury, to the Technology grounds in Brookline. The time was 24 minutes and 50 seconds, over a course four and three-quarter miles long. Beam of Technology, who finished first, broke by eight seconds the record established for this course last year by Lorenz of Technology. In scoring, only the first six men of each team were counted. Each place counted according to its numerical value, the University making 35, points and Technology 49.
Call away of Technology led at a fast pace all the way till the finish on the track, where he was passed by his teammate, Beam. C. L. Jackman sL. was running second till he weakened at the finish. Although technology men finished first and second, the University team filled all but two of the places from three to fourteen.
The first four members of the University team finished as follows: 3, M. S. Crosby '08; 4, H. M. Turner '06; 5, C. L. Jackman sL.; 6, A. King 3L.
