In the first game of the fall baseball series played yesterday afternoon on, Soldiers Field team A defeated team B by the score of 12 to 3. The playing of both teams was very loose and errors figured largely in the run making.
The batting order and the score by innings was as follows: The following men will report this afternoon at 2 o'clock for the game between teams C and D: Team C.--Smith, Rivinius, Harding, McCall, Jones, Pritchett, Starring, Chandler, Barta, Currie, Woodward, Denny, Goode. Team D.--Hellman, Marsh, Pope, Morse, Garfield, Boggs, Tucker, Pickman, Friedman, Bennett, Briggs, Sidley. All others are dropped.
