New Liquid Air Machine in Boylston

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A new machine for furnishing liquid air, of the pattern devised by Professor Bradley of Middletown, has recently been purchased out of the Boylston Hall laboratory funds, and is about to be put up in that building. This machine, which is operated by a 15 horse power motor, is the most efficient and powerful type of liquid air machine yet devised; and will be used very soon in some of Professor Richard's experiments with liquid air.

Owing to the limited capacity of the Boylston Hall laboratory and owing to the greater number of students taking chemistry this year, it has been found necessary to move Chemistry 30, the course to be given by Professor Ostwald, to the upper floor of Dane Hall, which has lately been transformed into a chemical laboratory.
