New Harvard Songs Submitted

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Song Committee held a meeting yesterday to consider the twenty five new songs with entirely original music, which have been submitted this fall. The committee selected ten of the new songs for further consideration. These will be thoroughly gone over today and several of them will be orchestrated at once, in order to be ready for trial at the mass meeting next Tuesday.

A larger number of songs was submitted this year than last, and most of them are of a decidedly higher standard. The names of the authors of the songs will not be disclosed until after the final selection has been made in order that all judgment of the songs may be entirely fair.

Besides the twenty-five original songs, a large number of verses to old and new popular music has been handed in. These will receive the consideration of the committee tomorrow.
