Fencing Team Prospects Good

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The captain of the fencing team, W. MacLeod 2L. will issue a call for candidates the first of November. The prospects of the team are very good, as A. Tyng '05 has returned, W. L. Bowman 2L., captain of the Cornell team two years ago, will probably come out, and all last year's substitutes will be available again this year.

There is not likelihood that the Athletic Committee will change its policy in regard to minor sports, so that the team will re-engage Mr. Pianelli as instructor, and candidates who subscribe $10 will be entitles to two lessons a week.

As in previous years, meets will be held with Technology, and the team will go to New York to enter the intercollegiate tournament there in March. Harvard has won six of the twelve tournaments held there, but its last victory was in 1900.

A number of other tournaments will be held during the year, including the class meets and novice meets. Dual and triangular meets with other colleges will be arranged if possible.
