For the past few years there has been a system of student guides during the summer, but it has never been continued during term time. This year, until severe weather begins, all visitors desiring guides will be referred to a waiting room in University Hall, and guides will be summoned by telephone from the reading room in Gore Hall, where guides will be on duty from 10 until 4 o'clock. By this arrangement, which will be begun this week, men on duty will not lose time while waiting for visitors. No student will be required to give more time to the work than he desires. The remuneration, which will come entirely from visitors, has not been decided on, but will be approximately the same as in the summer. All men wishing to do this work should send their names today to H. L. Gideon, Thayer 32.
