Recent Debating Arrangements

At the first meeting of the University Debating Council, Monday night, plans for reorganizing the debating clubs were decided upon. This year there will be the usual Freshman club, but the present Sophomore club will be discontinued.

An organization committee was appointed by the president to select men to form a nucleus for the University debating club. Membership in the club will be decided upon by an elected committee on a basis of merit. It was further decided that the competition for the Coolidge Prize of $100, which will be awarded at the trials for the teams to debate against Yale and Princeton, will be restricted to undergraduates.
