Plans for Chess Tournaments

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Trials for the University Chess Team are now in progress and will probably continue until the second week in November. A team of ten men will be chosen by competition in a series of two tournaments. The first of these tournaments has been begun and the twelve best men will qualify for the second tournament; six members of last year's team who were exempted from the first tournament will make a total of 18 men. These will be divided into three sections of six men each, ten of whom will form the University team to play Yale the night before the football game.
