A large new chemical laboratory has been fitted up in Dane Hall in the two rooms formerly occupied by the Co-operative. Asphalt topped desks individually supplied with gas, water, and electricity have been put up and both rooms well lighted by electricity. The upper room is especially well lighted, as it is very high studded. The two rooms together will accommodate 150 men, and are furnished with private offices for the instructors and their assistants.
The laboratory will be ready for use early next week. The rooms will be used for Chemistry 3, a course in qualitative analysis, conducted by Professor Sanger. The course is a very important one, as it is required for admission to the Harvard Medical School and also forms a part of the Scientific School courses in mining and metallurgy, biology, anatomy and physiology.
