The Inter-University Lacrosse League, made up of Harvard, Pennsylvania, Cornell and Columbia, held its annual meeting on December 23, at the Fifth Avenue Hotel, New York. Last year's league championship was awarded to Harvard, and the purchase of championship cups for the seasons of 1903 and 1904 was authorized. E. H. Bedell of Stevens Institute of Technology, who was present as a representative of the Intercollegiate Association, made up of Johns Hopkins, Stevens, Swarthmore and Lehigh, reported that all the teams in the Intercollegiate Association favor a consolidation of that association with the Inter-University League. C. C. Miller of the advisory committee of the Inter-University League, P. H. Adams '05 of Harvard, and E. H. Bedell were appointed a committee to outline a scheme for the union of the two leagues, to be submitted to each member of both leagues for approval. The immediate objects of the consolidation are to unify playing rules, to eliminate the confusion arising from the existence of two leagues and to introduce lacrosse in new places. The form of organization will probably be a national association, in which the present Inter-University League and Intercollegiate Association will form northern and southern divisions, respectively.
The Harvard representatives at the meeting were H. A. L. Sands '95, of the Advisory Committee, J. M. Groves '05 and P. H. Adams '05.
Officers were elected as follows: J. M. Groves '05, president; A. S. Kemp, of Pennsylvania, vice-president; J. H. Parker, of Cornell, treasurer; C. A. Stewart, of Columbia, secretary.
