Yale Work Also Light.

GALE'S FERRY, June 15.--The work of the Yale oarsmen was hampered today by the heavy wind. This morning the first and freshman eights rowed a number of short stretches, both crews doing excellent work. Late this evening the first crew rowed down to the Navy Yard at a 24 stroke, and back at a 26 and a 28 stroke.

Two of the regular freshman crew are ill: Blair, bow, and Danielson, 3, and their places were taken today by Curtis and Scott. Their illness is not serious, and the men will be back in the boat in a few days.
